Lead Preschool Teacher-Part-Time We are looking for a part-time nurturing and patient lead Preschool Teacher in our pre-k classroom. Our purpose is to provide a safe, wholesome environment based on developmentally appropriate guidelines and solid grown and development knowledge, thereby encouraging the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development of each child. Qualifications Must have reached legal age of 19Must have High School Diploma or General Education DiplomaMust have minimum of 1-year experience in preschool education (as shown by a positive reference from a former employer supervisor in the preschool education field)Must have 60 semester hours of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester hours in courses related directly to childcare and/or childcare development from birth to age six. OR one year (1560 clock hours) of child development experience in a licensed preschool and 30 semester hours of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester hours in courses related directly to childcare and/or child development from birth to age six. OR Completion of credentialing programs approved by DCFSMust hold membership in Illinois Gateways to Opportunity RegistryRemain current in First Aid and CPR for infants and children Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all timesEnsure a safe environment including inspection of materials and environmentPlan curriculum for the children in the classroom that is developmentally appropriate and helps children develop physically, cognitively, emotionally, socially and spirituallyEnsure regular observation of children throughout the yearAttend occasional general staff meetingsMeet with parents annually to discuss child(ren)’s growth and developmentAttend 15 hours of in-service training per year Job Type: Part-time Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations:This preschool complies with all health and safety guidelines given by the Department of Children and Family Services, and the IDPH.
