Adorable and smart Border Collie/Golden Retriever Mix needs new home. Recent injury makes it impossible for me to give this guy the activity he needs to thrive and be happy. He is friendly to all and gets along well with other people and dogs, but he bonds very strongly to his owner, and prefers to be with him or her most of the time. While he loves to spend time with his owner inside, like most border collies he has a high energy level. Although he can get the needed exercise in a backyard, he really enjoys being walked every day Unfortunately, a recent injury prevents me from being able to walk him and provide the daily activity he requires. He knows how to sit, shake hands, and lie down, and I have recently trained him to walk on a leash without straining and pulling you along behind him. He's also crate trained, and is accustomed to sleeping in his crate, as well as spending a few hours there during the day. As a one-year old he is still somewhat an excitable puppy, and still young enough to bond to a new owner, but is maturing quickly. He has had recent shots and vet records will be provided. He exhibits the best of both breeds; the energy and intelligence of a border collie, and the friendliness and affection of a golden retriever. He rarely barks, although he will emit a half-hearted "woof" at strangers. This is a very smart and trainable dog, for someone that will take the time to teach him. Included with him are a couple of dog training books, a clicker, some treats, and a dog whistle to aid in that enterprise Rehoming fee includes crate, two leashes, toys, remaining bags of food, food/water bowls, vet records, assorted care products (shampoo, wipes, etc),dog training books, treats, and dog training clicker and dog whistle. Rehoming fee is $600, but is negotiable for someone who can provide a good home
