PETALUMA, CA — The Petaluma Police Department welcomed nine new officers to the city agency, officials said Wednesday. In pre-coronavirus times, the department would have formally pinned new officers at a ceremony which typically gathers the families and friends of the new officers at the event. This year, no guests were permitted at the ceremony, which was live-streamed on Zoom. "We want to thank Prince Nagi, Jacob Smith, Cody Giles,Steven Clustka, Casey Perry, Jacob Vedder, Steven Hutchison, Brandon Haug and Tawny Pabros for choosing our agency and our community in which to serve," officials from the department wrote in a release Wednesday. New officers will begin the Filed Training Program and transfer into patrol "once cleared," officials said.
