The Peoria County Sheriff sent out information related to the collision on Old Galena Road this morning. I was on-scene this morning, working with the Sheriff's office personnel. The deceased, an elderly male in his late 80s, was pronounced dead on scene at 10:50 am; he likely died instantly. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the Peoria County Sheriff's Office and the Peoria County Coroner's Office.
His name is being withheld pending notification of family.
