MORTON, IL — A Morton High School business teacher resigned last week following a district investigation into a report of an inappropriate relationship with a student, administrators said. Erin Kemp, 37, of Morton, resigned Thursday, and district representatives reported the matter to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, according to a release issued Monday by Morton Community Unit School District 709 Superintendent Jeff Hill. Hill's statement did not offer any details about the result of the investigation and referred all questions to Morton police. According to her LinkedIn profile, she had worked as a business teacher in District 709 since August 2007.
