Description
We are currently a female vocalist/clarinetist, guitar/synth/vocals/recording engineer and I play bass and sing (also play piano and guitar). We have backing tracks to add another dimension. Everyone has been playing for a decade or more including music school for 2 of us - there is a high degree of skill, which also includes recording, music production and free access to high end recording facilities.
Here are 7 of the songs:

I have a solid studio (e.g. a NEVE 1073 preamp) in West Seattle with a rehearsal space (including drum kit), where we meet usually once per week. The guitar/synth player also operates one of the arguably nicest studios in the region.
In my music past, I led a band in Seattle for 6 years called Pocket Panda (also with the current guitar/synth player). We had a KEXP song of the day and could fill venues like the Tractor and Columbia City Theater. The skill and experience behind Broken Ocean is much greater, so I'd expect this project to achieve a lot more.
We are looking for someone who has at least some affinity for drum and bass (e.g. KJ Sawka), breakbeat, hip hop and other electronic utilized styles and who isn't really into straight ahead rock beats (to be honest, I find rock and roll to be akin to spray cheese, but less tasty). Overall, we are about pulling from any genre that suites the music and even pushing ourselves in this realm to try new things.
If you are interested, please send audio or video of you playing some breakbeats, drum and bass or something showing influence and ability in that realm of what I would call "cool ass beats."
Feel free to message with any questions.
Cheers!
-Eric
