Looking to start a new Latin group 5-6 musicians. The band plays all horn driven R&B/Funk/Motown/Dance/Disco and Classic Rock ranging from the 1950's to now. Based on the size of the band, we only play a few "bar" type gigs, but do a lot of corporate and private events, weddings, parks & rec gigs, large scale special events etc. for crowds from the 100's to the 1000's. We currently play roughly 25-30 gigs annually +/- with more gigs in Summer vs. winter by choice, most within 50 miles of Syracuse but a few in places such as Southern Tier, Adirondacks and 1000 Islands. Some gigs in Summer are weekday nights, most others fall on the weekend throughout the year, so a flexible schedule is necessary. The members are all professionals in other fields and do this for fun, so no one will get rich fast but you will definitely eat well! We practice weekly in the Syracuse area on Tuesday nights.
