Michael Kolster - Take Me To the River: Photographing America's Waterways Michael Kolster, photographer and author of Take Me to the River (2016) and its companion volume, L.A. River (2019), will discuss his recent glass plate photographs of Maine’s Androscoggin River and four other American rivers. His images consider their shared legacy of decades of industrial degradation and what their partial recovery looks like fifty years after the passage of the Clean Water Act of 1972. For the health and safety of all, we are encouraging event attendees to wear masks regardless of vaccination status. Masks and hand sanitizing stations will be available.
