Join horticulture instructor Sam Oschwald Tilton to learn strategies for extending the harvest season in this hands-on Community Education course at Lakeshore Technical College! You will learn how to harvest vegetables into December with the right varieties and techniques. You will care for the soil in closing up some of the garden for the season and will also prepare the plants and garden to extend production into November and beyond. About the InstructorA horticulture instructor at Lakeshore Technical College with an expertise in growing vegetables, Sam Oschwald Tilton is passionate about creating community and beauty through plants. He has a Master’s degree in horticulture and has traveled around the US and the world visiting gardens and farmers. Course DetailsDate: Saturday, September 17, 2022 Time: 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Location: Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland, WI; Room A228 in the Agriculture Building (the class will then move outdoors to the gardening space) Tickets: $18.60 Please be sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen or a hat.
