Join horticulture instructor Sam Oschwald Tilton to learn how to harvest spring crops and transition your vegetable garden to summer crops! Are you looking for tips and tricks for harvesting spring crops and preparing your veggie garden for summer crops, like tomatoes, beans, and more? Join horticulture instructor Sam Oschwald Tilton to get some hands-on practice harvesting spring crops and transitioning a vegetable garden to summer crops. Learn how to plant for a continuous harvest and practice weed control techniques and tools. You will also plant seasonal cover-crops to improve the soil. You will leave the session with the same seeds used in class so that you can use what you are learning in class to follow along in your own vegetable gardens. About the InstructorA horticulture instructor at Lakeshore Technical College with an expertise in growing vegetables, Sam Oschwald Tilton is passionate about creating community and beauty through plants. He has a Master’s degree in horticulture and has traveled around the US and the world visiting gardens and farmers.
