Join Seattle Aquarium and Seattle Audubon as they uncover ​urban-dwelling wildlife in the air and sea. Join Seattle Aquarium and Seattle Audubon as they uncover ​urban-dwelling wildlife in the air and sea of Puget Sound. Participants will meet staff at Pier 62 and learn how to look for marine invertebrates, birds, and marine mammals. Participants will have the option to join a guided one-mile walk to Pocket Beach for a closer look at wildlife along the Seattle waterfront. Or, stay at Pier 62 for birding and a closer-look station with objects and artifacts from 10-12pm. To participate in the trip to Pocket Beach register for a free ticket. There is limited capacity for this portion of the program. Anticipate walking and standing for up to 2 hours. Travel to Pocket Beach will utilize sidewalks. Anticipate rocky and slippery terrain at Pocket Beach. All programs will be held outdoors, so please dress for the weather. Limited capacity of participants for our walking tour. Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in. Created in partnership with Seattle Audubon and Seattle Aquarium: Seattle Audubon advocates and organizes for cities where people and birds thrive.
