host our annual plant exchange!
Darien Garden Club May Meeting – Plant Exchange
6:30pm social time/set-up
7:00pm meeting begins
We will meet outdoors, weather permitting, at St. John Lutheran Church parking lot. Look for us indoors in case of inclement weather.
What to bring:
A maximum of 4 plants to share/exchange. The plants can be from your garden, extra seedlings or store-bought. All plants should be potted and labeled with the name and type of plant; house-plant, annual, perennial, sun or shade loving plant etc. You can also include any other important information; height, color of flower etc. Please bring your offerings in a plastic bag or box making transporting & clean-up easy.
Be sure to bring your own chair for the parking lot event.
We will also have a short general meeting. You'll learn more about our club's activities and opportunities for you to join in the fun. Members/Guests who are unable to attend live and would like to watch the hybrid general meeting should register here to receive the zoom link via Eventbrite emails.

Jumping worms are becoming a problem in our area. If you intend to bring plants to exchange at the May 2rd meeting. Please read on for info to help you when preparing your offerings. We would also encourage you to inspect the plants that you receive that evening before transplanting into your landscape. Thank you for helping keep this pest in control.
