What better way to mark the start of spring than to get together with friends to get Hope House & Garden ready for the warm season? Thanks to an amazing team of volunteers from Target Store #896 (see photos below) in Commerce Township, we're off to a great start cleaning and preparing Hope House & Garden to host friends, neighbors, and volunteers all year long. We still have work to do! Please bring a friend and join us for a morning of good, hard work that you will make a difference that you can see. Jobs on the list include: Finish cleaning and organizing Hope House to get it ready for classes, community meetings, and more. Clear debris and leaves out of the garden beds to get them ready for planting.Sort and turn the compost in our composting beds so that we'll have lots of good soil for planting our crops.Organize and sort the toolshed and take inventory of what supplies and tools we have (so we can also figure out what we need)Clear the rest of the fall leaves from the gutters and the yard and move them to the composting bedsOdds and endsWe'll serve coffee and doughnuts to all comers! Volunteers of all ages are welcome, including minors (if they come with guardians or parents).
