TEWKSBURY, MA — With Tewksbury's 2022 town election rapidly approaching, residents are sharing their views on the contested Select Board race, which features three candidates vying for two open seats. The election will take place April 2. The following letters were submitted by residents. David and Cheryl Gay: Letter to the Editor We are proud to announce that we will be endorsing Jayne Wellman for a second term on Tewksbury's Select Board. We have both had the privilege of working with Jayne over the past decade and can fully vouch for her strength of character, dedication, effectiveness, and determination when it comes to doing the right thing for the Town of Tewksbury. As a current member and Vice-Chair of the Select Board, Jayne has worked diligently on ensuring initiatives come to fruition. In addition to her current position on the Select Board, Jayne also served on Tewksbury's School Committee as well as serving as the towns first female Town Moderator where she again did an exemplary job in both these roles. Jayne has always maintained and continues each role with a very positive and friendly attitude towards all. She is a doer and gets the job done, not for the glory or a pat on the back, but for the real reason, to ensure Tewksbury is a great place to live for all its current and future residents. We ask that you please join us in VOTING for Jayne Wellman to Tewksbury's Select Board on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022. Sincerely, David and Cheryl Gay Letter to the Editor We encourage the voters of Tewksbury to vote for Jomarie Buckley to the Select Board onSaturday, April 2nd, 2022. Without hesitancy or uncertainty, we believe she will make a great addition to the Select Board. Jomarie has considerable experience in this position since previously serving in this capacity in Wilmington prior to moving her family to Tewksbury. Her previous role will enable her to bring a fresh sense of experiences that will no doubt lead the town in developing new ideas that will benefit its residents. It is clear to us that Jomarie loves serving her community and wants to continue to serve in a capacity where she can do wonderful things, for the place, she now calls home. Jomarie is realistic and her optimistic understanding into our community's problems and needs will no doubt help our town continue to more in a positive direction for the most important thing, the betterment of Tewksbury. Please join us in VOTING Jomarie Buckley to Tewksbury's Select Board on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022. Sincerely, David and Cheryl Gay
