We are introducing our 'Off the Grid' Speaker Series directly following the start of our monthly Cars & Coffee events. Starting this 2022 event season, we are introducing our 'Off the Grid' Speaker Series directly following the start of our monthly Cars & Coffee events. The event will run from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the M1 Concourse Event Center. Herb Fishel, Former Executive Director of GM Motorsports will be the speaker. Fishel is one of the most important figures in the history of Chevrolet performance. An early understudy to Zora Arkus-Duntov, he eventually rose to executive director of racing for all of General Motors. Fishel started the factory Corvette Racing team that won the overall victory at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, cars powered by Chevrolet under Herb’s watch won 20 NASCAR Manufacturers Championships (11 consecutive); 12 Indy 500s; and class wins in the Baja 1000, Pikes Peak Hill Climb, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the Daytona 500 and Indy 500 races.
