Here are the top three stories today in Norfolk: Edgar Emmanuel Oliver, 64, has been sentenced to 40 years with 10 suspended conditional on good behavior and probation completion for fatally stabbing a man in Norfolk. Oliver allegedly stabbed the man in 2019 after the man tried to give Oliver some money. Oliver was sleeping near the Shop 'N Go convenience store in Norfolk when Arthur Daniel Sanders Jr. attempted to help him. (WAVY.com)Norfolk's community vaccination center at the Military Circle mall will close on Mar. 25 due to waning demand. The vaccination center has provided more than 48,000 COVID-19 vaccinations to the Norfolk community since October. Health officials are urging the community to schedule their vaccinations at the center before its closure. (The Virginian-Pilot)The Norfolk Police Department has pulled a man's body from the water on Thursday. The incident occurred near the Elizabeth River in the 400 block of Peace Haven Drive. The Norfolk Fire-Rescue pronounced the man as deceased after he was pulled from the water. The department is conducting an investigation and will release the man's identity after his next-of-kin has been notified.
