Here are the top three stories today in Charleston: North Charleston hosted a Stand Against Violence Everywhere town hall to address a recent increase in gun violence plaguing the city. The town hall was held last night at 6:00 p.m. at Royal Missionary Baptist Church. Attendees were able to hear from several speakers who have been affected by the recent surge of gun violence. (Live 5 News WCSC)North Charleston is searching for a new municipal flag. According to city officials, the current flag is a "poor excuse" for a municipal symbol and hopes that the new flag will incorporate important symbols that residents use to call North Charleston home. Currently, the city has received a dozen designs with the final design being chosen before the city's 50th anniversary on Jun. 12, 2022. (Charleston Post Courier)The Charleston Farmers Market on Saturday has been canceled due to inclement weather hitting the Charleston area. This is the second time that the market has been closed due to inclement weather which has caused the market to be pushed to Mar. 26. The full market is expected to resume on Apr. 9, 2022.
