Norcross Tries To Allay NJ's Concerns Regarding Russian Invasion

BELLMAWR — U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross of New Jersey's First District, tried to assuage fears that some New Jerseyans may have about the situation between Russia and Ukraine during a Camden County Town Hall Meeting on Monday. A Pew Research survey released Tuesday indicated 50 percent of Americans see Russia's invasion as a "major threat" to U.S interests. Another 28 percent said it is a "minor threat" to this country's interests, 6 percent felt the invasion poses no threat to U.S. interests and another 16 percent indicated they were not sure. "We're not going to have World War III because of this," Norcross said. "We are supplying an unprecedented [number] of arms to train people day by day." The Congressman added Russia's invasion of Ukraine has also spurred a rare "remarkable" display of unity among various organizations and countries. "NATO has been around for quite a while. They came together as never before," he said. "Europe came together as never before. The world came together in an unprecedented fashion."
