JOLIET, IL — A 21-year-old Joliet resident who lives in the 1200 block of Morgan Street now faces a $1 million bail after Joliet police arrested him earlier this week. Seneca Brown was wandering around the Larkin Village Apartments holding his gun, according to police reports. People at the apartment complex on Lois Place called Joliet police to alert them that someone was walking around the apartment building late Monday morning with a gun. At the scene, officers took Brown into custody, charging him with unlawful use of a weapon by a convicted felon. "Upon entering the apartment building, an officer encountered Brown in the third-floor stairwell," police spokesman Dwayne English relayed. "Brown was holding a 9 mm handgun in his right hand. The officer ordered Brown to drop the weapon, to which he complied, and he was placed into custody without further incident." Now, Brown needs to come up with $100,000 cash to post as bond in order to regain his freedom while awaiting his Will County criminal trial. Image via Google Maps
