EAGAN, MN — One of the 100 worst greenhouse gas polluters in Minnesota is located in Eagan, according to a new report. The Star Tribune Wednesday published a story that documents the 100 worst greenhouse gas polluters in the state. The Eagan plant that made the list was: GOPHER RESOURCE'S LEAD SMELTING OPERATION: 138,616 metric tons of CO2 emissions (Manufacturing) In 2019 alone, Minnesota's 100 worst polluters added 40 million metric tons of greenhouse gases into Earth's atmosphere, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.
