ATLANTA, GA — So, second-time Georgia gubernatorial candidate and voter rights activist Stacey Abrams did a thing. If you're a Star Trek fan and you don't know what that thing is – uh, where have you been? – stop reading now. You'll only be mad. Spoilers ahead. Abrams, a self-proclaimed Trekkie, played a pivotal, albeit minor role in the season finale of Star Trek: Discovery. She had lines and portrayed the 32nd century's President of United Earth. Talk about projecting your future self. Evidently, those on the set were Abrams fans. "I'm still floored when I think about Stacey gracing us with her presence in our Season 4 finale," star Sonequa Martin-Green told Deadline. Showrunner Michelle Paradise told IndieWire she just couldn't stop pinching herself watching the episode. "Honestly, the number of times I've seen the episode, every time I see her face, I'm like, 'Wow, that really happened. That's awesome,'" she gushed. So what's next for Abrams?
