I am moving and need to re-home my fish tank and bowls. All of the scapes are low maintenance, Walstad style tanks. With normal feeding the pH is stable and only upkeep is topping off water and thinning of the plants. All of the fish are hardy, not very temperature sensitive and well suited to to tap water in New Haven. Even the white clouds, which typically prefer soft water, are thriving and even produced several dozen fry last year.
The 10 gallon is a Rimless tank, originally paid $40 when on sale. Heavily planted with Cryptocoryne, Rotala indica, Water Wisteria, amazon sword, and another stem plant I believe to be Nomaphila Stricta. There are 5 celestial pearl danios, 3 male endlers, and 2 Amano shrimp. The hardscape is mainly dragon stone, and the substrate has a thin layer of potting soil and capped with river sane. The tank comes with a filter and an LED light (AQUANEAT LED Aquarium Light), hang on back filter, heater, and a glass cover. Asking $75 OBRO
**There are pond snail, but the fish tend to eat the eggs and do a good job a keeping the snail population under control.
I also have two bowls that are heavily planted. Both contain a thin layer of potting soil and capped with river sand. Asking $40 for either or $70 for both
The larger bowl is planted with Cryptocoryne, Rotala indica, and Hornwort. The forefront of the scape has a carpet of dwarf hairgrass. There is a layer of duckweed that I routinely thin but maintains healthy water parameters. The bowl contains 4 white cloud minnows and is under a desk lamp.
The smaller bowl is planted with Cryptocoryne, Rotala indica, and Water Wisteria. Inhabited by 6 Boraras brigittae.
