PALO ALTO, CA — Palo Alto's City Council moved to hire an independent contractor to take over the Office of the City Auditor's functions Tuesday, Palo Alto Weekly reports.
The council will meet in closed session Wednesday to review three candidate firms, the report said.
The city believes replacing the city auditor with an outside contractor would result in an annual savings of $250,000, the report said.
The three firms under consideration are Eide Bailly LLP, Moss Adams LLP, and Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP.
