PALATINE, IL — The Village of Palatine announced Monday morning that traffic delays and daily lane closures are expected as the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) begins works on altering Dundee Road from Rand Road to Kennedy Drive. According to the village, the current project includes:
Traffic signal modernization at Kennedy Drive, Rand Road and Baldwin Road Construction of new raised mediansCurb removal and replacementSidewalk ramp removal and replacement to meet ADA requirementsInstallation of new street lighting and storm sewersPavement patching and resurfacingIDOT expects the job to be completed by October 2021, according to the village.
Two lanes in each direction will be open at all times, the village added, and that access to businesses will be maintained throughout construction.
