Description
As a Solar Technician, you will work directly with our Lead Solar Technician, Master Electrician, and fellow Solar Technicians to analyze, problem solve, prepare, install and close out solar projects for our clients. You will work full time, on and off the roof with ladders to carry out project tasks. Solar panels can weigh up to 60lbs, so carrying heavy objects is a requirement, and temperatures on install days can range from 20-100 degrees fahrenheit. Customer service is core to our business, and each project is evaluated for customer satisfaction, reviews, and referrals. All of our team members provide a great experience for the client by being timely, thoughtful and courteous. Project tasks include but are not limited to: Permit Documentation review for understanding and on-site problem solving. Permit drawing coordination with Master Electrician. Receive/stock materials and maintain accurate inventory. Communicate material order with the solar team prior to project start. Pick-up materials from supplier, and Home Depot as necessary. Identify system layout, orienting, and mounting modules to ensure efficient installation, electrical configuration, and organization. Install Solar Photovoltaic system. Solar Technicians are responsible for the portion of the install above the roofline, or attached to the ground mount structure. Attend solar inspections and communicate required changes to the team as necessary. Install trim and pest abatement. System Commissioning and monitoring set-up. Assist with detach & reset of existing systems. Ensure quality control for the scope of work. General cleanup of materials and debris post-production. Communicate schedule with Lead Technician and Director of Operations. Photograph the project installation while on site. Upload all photos and related documentation to JobProgress (CRM) All communication and notes uploaded in Jobprogress (CRM) Job Requirements Must have valid driver’s license and automobile. Comfortability with heights. No smoking, drinking, or drug use on the job site Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and typing emails All Notes, photos, relevant information needs to be input into JobProgress (CRM) Phone calls and text messages need to be returned by end of business day.
