Juniper Canyon Living is hiring for a Maintenance Assistant. The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the care and upkeep of the interior and exterior of the community grounds following the guidelines, policies and procedures of the community and as directed by the Facilities Director and/or other designee of the Executive Director. The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for: Helping the Facilities Director in being a community leader in the overall integrity of the physical plant. Helping the Facilities Director perform general maintenance projects as scheduled or assigned, including installations and repairs, plumbing and electrical equipment, fire and sprinkler equipment, H.V.A.C., landscape, carpentry, painting and equipment repair. Ensuring that walls, floor covering, doors, windows, furniture and woodwork in the common area of the community are properly maintained and repaired. Problem solving skills. Demonstration of effective time management skills. Must be able to work independently. Basic maintenance skills required. Deep commitment to customer service when dealing with residents, team members, and guests. Must meet Oregon state vaccination requirements. Resident Rights: Promotes and protects residents’ rights, assists residents to make informed decisions, treats Residents with dignity and respect, protects residents’ personal belongings. Demonstrates understanding of the residents’ right of choice by encouraging resident to make decisions in all ADL’s and asking resident about performance in providing daily service.
