PITTSBURGH, PA — Steelers kicker Chris Boswell will miss Monday's game against the Washington Redskins because of an injured hip, the team announced. It's unclear if Boswell's injury will keep him out for multiple games. Matthew Wright will handle kicking duties for the team today. He was signed Nov. 30 to the Steelers practice squad, but did compete with Boswell for the team's kicking job during training camp in 2019. Wright was the starting kicker for four seasons at the University of Central Florida. He was 55-for-71 on field-goal tries in college, with his longest being 50 yards. The Steelers were originally supposed to play Washington yesterday. But the NFL moved the game to Monday after the Steelers' last game against the Baltimore Ravens was played Wednesday after three postponements because of a COVID-19 outbreak. The 11-0 Steelers face the 4-7 Football Team at 5 p.m. on Fox as the first game of a Monday night doubleheader. The Steelers are 6.5-point favorites, according to oddsshark.com.
