disable 3rd-party alarm on 2000 subaru forester

Description
I recently bought a 2000 Subaru Forester from a friend/former coworker. Last Monday, I drove to pick up prescriptions, and then it wouldn't start, but it didn't exhibit the typical symptoms of a weak battery, the click/whirr sounds, etc. I had electricity and dash lights, but no crank over. I looked at the battery and there was some corrosion on the positive terminal, so I wiggled the cable to knock loose the white grit. The cable came off the battery post and I slid it back down. When I tried to start it, the alarm blared. I had roadside assistance cut the wire leading to the alarm horn so I wouldn't be disturbing people. I did some research on how to disable alarms (this one is reportedly not OEM, but we don't know what kind it is) and how to program a fob (seller didn't program the generic fob he got along with the new battery) I was *totally unable* to locate the "programming button" that is supposed to be under the dash, by driver's left knee. If that button could be located, it's possible to save the situation at no cost.... I've had the battery pulled and inside to charge... however... my charger is old and seldom used, so I don't even know if it works - i almost always carry AAA and jumper cables. I was going to order a tester on Amazon, but haven't just yet. I have no way to get the battery to AutoZone to test the battery, which was new only 1.5 months ago... https://northcoastkeyless.com/2000-subaru-forester-keyless-entry-remote-fob-programming-instructions/ well, it took forever to get a tow truck home and the driver couldn't get it parked neatly due to space limitations, so it's been about 2 feet from the curb, and halfway blocking my driveway. the alarm system was making some lights blink, and I had to use the heated seat while waiting for a tow, so the battery was dead dead dead in the morning. It will NOT shift into neutral to be pushed closer to the curb. I need someone who can either uninstall or forever disable this alarm system/immobilizer/whatchamacallit. I ordinarily believe in paying top dollar for competent mechanics' services, however, long story short, I am flat broke right now and would have to either owe ya, borrow from the roommate, or perhaps barter something like IT services, upgrade your hard drive, etc.... I am severely disabled and walking even a block or two is a struggle and very painful, so I really need my car. At the very least, if I can't get this fixed...if there's a kind person with floor jacks/wheel dollies who could either get it into my driveway or at least closer to the curb so I don't feel illegally parked, that would help... (afterthought... I added my QR codes if anyone feels like throwing $ at me. I was forced to lapse my unemployment claim due to severe pain, and currently have 58 cents in the bank. Moochas gracias..)
