CUSTODIAN WEEKEND POSITION Saturday: 7am to 3:30pm and 10:30 am to 700 pm Sunday: 10 am to 5:30 pm Job Description Under the direction of the Lead/Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing janitorial duties. Superior customer service will be provided, as well company policies and procedures followed at all times. Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures and techniques are essential for this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Daily job responsibilities to include, but not limited to: Participate in the janitorial activities. Vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, dusting, washing and mopping of assigned areas. Clean and sanitize restrooms. Restock supplies. Empty trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as needs. Clean windowsills, windows, blinds, countertops, partitions and mirrors. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean baseboards, doors and frames. Maintain janitorial closets and carts in a clean, organized and safe manner. Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition. Proper labeling, dilution and use of chemicals. Report need repairs and safety hazards; report infractions of rules to supervisor. Maintain and inspect windows, doors and locks in assigned areas, to ensure all are properly secured. General maintenance of grounds. Loads and unloads supplies, move of heavy furniture and equipment using, dollies, handcarts or using team lift. May perform ground maintenance. Must be able to meet attendance work schedules with dependability and consistency. Tardiness and unexcused absences will place hardship on coworker and interfere with cleaning schedules. Order supplies according to guidelines. Perform other routine maintenance duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques, and standards. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good customer service skills. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
