Seeking a Bergen County/North Jersey–based DRUMMER for new band, which will play originals and some select covers influenced by rock, r&b, reggae, 'old skool' style. Influences include, but are not limited to, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Lou Reed, Tom Waits, Booker T and the MGs, and Manfred Mann's Earth Band. Open to others as well. Big plus: someone who gets or is cool with a Jewish/Israeli vibe that informs much of the music in addition to the styles & influences mentioned above. Please note, though, that this is NOT a "JM" style project, and it's not for playing weddings, bar mitzvahs, or similar such events. Weekenders or hobbyists are *encouraged*, as the other players (bass and guitar) and I (keyboards) are fully employed at non-musical jobs. If you're looking to make a living from this, this is probably not for you. Regardless of your situation, though, you have to have a good sense of timing. Any age is OK but the others and I are in our 50s. Aiming to rehearse once a week and play out once or twice a month. Email if interested. Mp3s and charts available.
