PITTSBURGH, PA — Retailer Pet Valu is closing its U.S. stores and warehouses. The company has announced Wednesday that it will close its 358 locations and its office in Wayne, PA. Liquidation sales are expected to begin in the coming days. "The Company's stores have been significantly impacted by the protracted COVID-19-related restrictions," Pet Value chief restructuring officer Jamie Gould said in a statement. "After a thorough review of all available alternatives, we made the difficult but necessary decision to commence this orderly wind down." In southwestern Pennsylvania, the following Pet Valu stores will close: SouthSide Works, South Side.Greentree Road Shopping Center, Green Tree.McCandless Crossing, McCandless.Shopper's Plaza, Allison Park.Crossgate Shops, McMurray.Pine Tree Shoppes, Wexford.Penn Crossing Shopping Center, Jeannette.Summit Ridge Plaza, Mt. Pleasant.Unity Village, Latrobe.
