Magnum Staffing is looking for a Structural Fitters and Pipe Fitters to join our team! Employee will be traveling to different projects, per diem/housing will be available. Once project has been completed, the employees will be traveling back to Houston. Responsibilities for Structural Fitter: • Read Blueprints, section and plan drawings, and weld symbols; • Must be able to read and derive measurements, dimensions, and quantity of material needed to fabricate a structure; • Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel products such as beams, braces, pipes, and plates for offshore drilling jackets and decks. Responsibilities for Pipe Fitter: • Selects type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to job specifications. • Cuts pipe using hacksaw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine. • Assembles and installs a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings, using threaded caulked, soldering, brazen, fused, or cemented joints, and hand tools. • Tests piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks. • Welds pipe supports to structural steel members. • Loads, transports, and unloads material, tools, equipment, and supplies. • Performs minor maintenance of cleaning activities of tools and equipment. • Observes and complies with all safety and project rules and all company policies and procedures Skills: • Proven experience working as a fitter • The ability to use hand and power tools • The ability to concentrate for extended periods • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Exceptional welding and mechanical skills
