Palatine Police Grateful For Residents' Generosity

PALATINE, IL — The Palatine Police Department shared Wednesday that Palatine residents have shown incredible generosity during the last month in giving to local non-profit organizations and families in need, according to a news release sent to Patch. Police said hundreds of coats were given by anonymous donors to support local non-profit organization Palatine Assistance Through Hope (P.A.T.H), and by several residents, including Madison Russell, a Fremd High School student. According to police, Russell carried out her own coat drive to support this cause, and collected dozens of coats from her neighborhood. In response to the Palatine Police Social Services Unit's Holiday Helper Program, residents also donated clothes and toys "to bring joy and cheer to children in our community," the police department said, in the news release. The Palatine Police Department said they wish to express their gratitude to the residents who stepped up to make this year a little brighter.
