Our historic event venue near Fairhaven is looking for a part-to-full time (up to 35hrs) gardener or groundskeeper to join our hard-working and dedicated grounds crew. Primary responsibilities include: + Landscaping, plant/flower care, outdoor care of manor and estate + Some maintenance, repairs and painting + Event setup. parking and cleaning + Some driving errands and odd jobs Experience with the following is REQUIRED: + Knowledge and care of plants + Weeding, planting, watering, upkeep of garden beds + Power and gardening tools (pressure washer, edger, blower, weed wacker, hedge trimmer, etc.) + Some maintenance, painting, and handiwork a plus! The role we are hiring for is primarily manual labor. Gardening, watering, weeding, pruning, painting, sweeping, lifting, hauling, edging and all the labor involved in caring for the Lairmont Manor estate grounds and making sure they are perfect for our events. You would report to our lead gardener and venue coordinator. Along with the garden portion of the job, there is set up of large tables, chairs and other furniture for all events. Also some cleaning and miscellaneous tasks as needed. The groundskeepers work hard day to day behind the scenes to maintain the grounds for hundreds of celebrations and thousands of photos!
