Missing Rock Samples

My truck was broken into at the Best Western John Jay Inn between 9pm on 3/7/22 and 8:30am on 3/8/22. Many personal items were stolen, but these are replaceable. What are irreplaceable are the two milk crates of individually bagged and labeled rock samples from central Baja California, Mexico. These samples have zero economic value but are very scientifically valuable to ongoing academic research. The samples may have been dumped on the side of the road/in dumpster or have otherwise been kept. If you find these samples, there is a cash reward, no questions asked, upon their safe return. Samples are in white cloth bags with yellow tags, and have individual numbering on each bag.
