PITTSBURGH, PA — Former NFL star Terrelle Pryor and his ex-girlfriend, Shalaya Briston, were sentenced to probation as a result of a 2019 stabbing incident.
Pryor pleaded down from misdemeanor assault to harassment and got 90 days probation. Briston pleaded down from felony aggravated assault to misdemeanor simple assault and got two years probation.
According to police, the couple began arguing after Briston returned with friends from an evening out. During the altercation, Briston allegedly grabbed a sharp object and stabbed Pryor with a sharp object.
Pryor recovered from his injuries.
Pryor was a start quarterback at Jeannette High School and played for Ohio State in college. His NFL career, in which he primarily played wide receiver, included stints with the Oakland Raiders, Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins, New York Jets and Buffalo Bills.
