Press release from the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh : by Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh December 21, 2020 For the last five years, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh has held a Winter Reading Raffle to encourage teens to read for fun during their winter break. Reading during breaks helps kids transition back to school more smoothly. Reading also helps reduce stress, and we could all use a little bit of that, right? So, this winter we're collaborating with libraries across Allegheny County to invite readers of all ages to read with us in this county-wide Winter Reading Challenge! Here's how it works: The program starts on Friday, January 1, 2021. You can register now and start logging any time! Sounds fun, right? Want to join us? Go to our website to register for the Winter Reading Challenge! *Prizes: On March 1, 2021, all county-wide participants who logged reading will be entered into a raffle and will have an equal chance of winning. Ten raffle winners will be randomly selected and receive a $25 gift card. Do you visit a library that isn't a CLP location?
