Description

the Marquette University Log rolling team is excited to host the "return to rolling" college log rolling Tournament on May 1st! This tournament will be the first (of hopefully many) intercollegiate log rolling tournaments since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we couldn't be more excited to be hosting it! We will be competing in a round-robin (or brackets depending on attendance numbers) style competition and giving everyone the chance to get in lots and lots of rolling. We will be following most USLRA (United states log rolling association) rules, including the best 3 out of 5 matches. There will be three divisions: Beginner (those who struggle to roll more than 30-60 seconds on their own), Intermediate (those who are confident solo rollers and have some level of comfort in a match setting), and advanced (those who compete in USLRA tournaments, are confident in solo and match rolling, or who want more of a competitive challenge!) We will also be doing another fun and somewhat silly competition along with the rolling, we will have team sitting matches! The sitting game is a fun balance game our team does at the end of each practice, and consists of teams of 3 sitting on one side of the log (straddling the log as if you're about to get up to roll) and working to stay on and knock the team on the other side off. each school will be welcome to have as many sitting match teams as they like but people will be allowed on only one team and it will be a one and done event. With registration, you will also receive a t-shirt as long as you've registered before 11:30 pm on April 20th.
