In-person Boating Safety Course No Cost Sponsored by North Pond Association and the Fairview Grange.
This one day Boating Safety course will teach you how to properly operate and maintain a boat, understand boating laws and how to respond to common emergencies on the water, and more! This is an in-person course which will result in a Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Boating Safety Course completion card. Class will be held at the Fairview Grange Hall 826 Village Rd Smithfield, ME. 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Pizza lunch will be provided.
Classroom Courses
Passage of a final exam is required. You must attend the entire course in order to receive your card.
Total Course = 6 Hours
•Proper Operation & Safety (Boating Handling-Equipment-Trailering) = 3 Hours
•Laws = 30 Minutes
•Emergencies & Survival (cold water) = 40 Minutes
•Self Help First Aid = 20 Minutes
•Environment/Ethics = 1 1/2 Hours
