Come meet the Nurse Midwife & Owner of BBB Midwifery LLC. Opportunities for questions, Give Aways and Discounts on Home Births
Black women are 3-4 times more likely to die related to complications during pregnancy and childbirth. During Black Maternal Health Week, April 11-17, US birth workers pause to acknowledge the many factors that contribute. However we must also help to provide solutions. One of the major contributing factors is the racial disparities Black women face when seeking healthcare. Having a Black provider does not mitigate all of your risk. However, Certified Nurse Midwives ( CNM) have statistically proven to have better birth outcomes for moms and babies. Having a Black CNM who is not only knowledgeable, but also culturally sensitive and passionate about the care they provide to birthing families is crucial during these times.
Black Maternal Health should not be acknowledged just 1 week out of the year. It should be acknowledged and addressed every day!
Come meet the Certified Nurse Midwife & Owner of Beautiful Beginnings & Beyond Midwifery.
