Description

Hiding in the Walls - Free Public Screening "Hiding in the Walls", a new documentary from Baltimore natives Angel King Wilson and David Sebastiao, takes a deep dive into Baltimore's history of environmental racism, specifically shining a light on lead poisoning in the city. The film discusses the origins of lead poisoning, the failures of local leadership to stop the problem, and ultimately how it came to be an uncontrolled epidemic in the city. We also hear stories from people who were diagnosed with lead poisoning as children and how they have lived with the disease, its effects, and the social stigma associated with it. Join us for the Baltimore premiere of "Hiding in the Walls" - with free public showings on April 7th and 8th. Both at 6:30pm in the Wheeler Auditorium of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, Central Branch (400 Cathedral St, Baltimore, MD 21201). After entering the library, take the elevator to the 3rd Floor - turn left at the hallway, and the theater is at the end of the hall. The event is free and open to the public! But space is limited, so please RSVP. For more information visit www.silentmediagroup.com/hiding-in-the-walls
