Country Club Drive Road Work Could Cause Traffic Backups

PALM DESERT, CA — Commuters on Country Club Drive in Palm Desert could see traffic delays Wednesday and Thursday. The slow lane of westbound Country Club Drive will close just east of Portola Avenue so utilities for a nearby development can be installed, according to a release from the City of Palm Desert. The closures will last from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day Drivers are encouraged to leave early or find an alternate route. The city recommends bypassing the construction on Monterey Avenue, Frank Sinatra Drive or Cook Street.
