A guided journey to connect people to nature for the health and vitality of both
Did you know that spending time in nature is so good for you that doctors in Japan, Canada, and the USA are writing prescriptions for it? That's right. The good news is you don't need to wait for a doctor to tell you what you already know. If you're stress out and depleted or worried that your immunity is not functioning optimally, then you may benefit from what the Japanese have called Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing). It literally means to soak up the essence of the forest and it is designed to maximize the profound effect nature has on our over-all wellbeing.
We will greet the spring forest through a series of invitations and embodiment practices designed to engage our senses and awaken our spirit . This experience is an opportunity to slow down and hear the voice from the more-than-human-world. Who might appear in the forest to greet you and what gift do you have for them?
We will be outside for the entire walk. Please dress for the day's weather. This is a slow guided walk through a forested habitat. This is not a hike and does not require any special skills, knowledge, equipment, or experience.
Covid-19 Protocol: This event will be held entirely outside with ample space for social distancing. The choice to wear a mask or not will be honored on an individual basis.
