Olympia First Baptist Church is seeking a Part-Time Janitor/Caretaker, who will be a valuable member of the church team to help maintain and support the building. The internal and external appearance of the building reflects on the church as a place of worship, a workplace, and a resource for the community; thus, the position holder must be experienced and reliable. Apply online at Job Details $17 - $20 an hour, based on experience and qualifications 20-25 hours a week (no benefits) Flexible schedule, to be reviewed after six months Background check required Primary Duties performing custodial duties carefully and thoroughly, cleaning all spaces maintaining premises inside and outside preparing spaces for events, e.g., setting up tables and chairs moving items from walls and floor as needed purchasing supplies completing other duties as assigned and as needed Preferred Qualifications and Skills two years of prior experience in a similar position a high school diploma or GED ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally knowledge of proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment knowledge of safety requirements in and around the building including use of equipment and the use and disposal of chemical and/or hazardous materials ability to perform minor repairs to furniture, building, and equipment maintain inventory of supplies and keep spaces stocked with soap, paper products ability to lift 40 pounds.
