$50K Damage To Oswego Home In Fire

OSWEGO, IL — A fire in an Oswego home Friday caused damages of nearly $50,000, the Oswego Fire Protection District said in a release. Firefighters responded at approximately 6:30 p.m. to the 300 block of Chesapeake Lane. Upon arrival at the scene, they located the blaze in an end unit of a four-unit town home building. The fire was under control in about 15 minutes, according to the fire district. Damage from the fire has left the home uninhabitable. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The fire district said that the fire appeared to have started outside the residence and made its way inside. No injuries were reported.
