PALM SPRINGS, CA — Police Friday put out a call for witnesses to a collision that killed a pedestrian in Palm Springs.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, which was reported about 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of North Indian Canyon Drive and 20th Avenue, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
Police said the vehicle was southbound on North Indian Canyon when it struck the pedestrian, who was walking on the west side of the roadway.
The pedestrian was not immediately identified.
A stretch of North Indian Canyon was shuttered for several hours while police investigated.
