Green Minds & Elawa Farm Foundation presenting a Composting at Home 101 Join the City of Lake Forest and local institution as we celebrate Earth Day 2022! In this series of free community events, Marion Cartwright, former co-director of Elawa Farm Foundation and now director at Green Minds, will deliver a hands-on composting workshop. Learn why compost is often called “black gold” as well as some practical techniques to ensure you create healthy organic material using the right kitchen and yard scraps, all from the comforts of your home or garden. This class will be meeting indoors and outdoors. Please bring kitchen scraps and wear proper attire in case of rain and/or wet terrain.
