Adopt Stryker from Friends of Coos County Animals

Description
Stryker is a rescue from a shelter in California. He was their 'dog tester' as he was great with all other dogs, seems to be more dominant than submissive. His foster says he's really smart, clearly has had training. Walks on the left side, shakes, waits, sits, etc. Very gentle taking treats. Very affectionate. Plays with balls and toys. Good with cats. Although has been on the couch and bed, prefers to sleep on the floor. He's very big and strong, so we would recommend no children under 12. Loves being outside. Great off leash. Would love a person to take him on lots of ADVENTURES! Actually, we would REQUIRE the adopter be very active, Stryker is not a dog to sit around all day and be happy. More info from the foster: Eager to please, not picky about food. I was thinking he is the perfect 'guys' dog, he is a bit rough and tumble. He is really bright too, he has changed some habits in only 24 hours. Messy eater though, like face first and everywhere! Rather quiet too although a door knock will set him off. Knows how to howl and of course, it's adorable! Even more info: the foster took Stryker and his dog hiking today, they went 15 miles, Stryker never slowed down, wasn't tired. He thinks he's part husky. He eats a LOT. He's extremely eager to please and takes commands from anyone. He said they ran into someone on the trail who told him to lay down and he did. Then they asked him to sit and shake, he did.
