ORLAND PARK, IL — The Township of Orland Park will be holding a drive-thru event for those who have yet to receive their flu-shot, according to the township. According to a news release from the township, the Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinic will take place on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Township, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park. The release also mentioned that this is a popular and convenient way to to receive the annual shot. "I urge everyone who still needs their flu shot to take advantage of our convenient drive-thru clinic," said Supervisor O'Grady, according to the release. "While running your weekend errands, swing by the Township and get your flu shot– you don't even need to get out of your car." The following flu-shots will be available, according to the release: Fluzone Quadrivalent - $40 For individuals 3 year of age and older Protects against four different flu viruses Preservative free The township notes that students, 18 and younger, covered by Medicaid (Title 19) can receive the flu vaccine only at a township, Vaccines for Children (VFC), monthly immunization clinic. Flublok Quadrivalent - $40 For individuals 18 years of age and older 100 percent egg-free Highly purified and preservative free Three times more antigens than traditional flu vaccine Fluzone High-Dose - $55 For individuals 65 and older Preservative free For those who are unable to make it to the Drive-Thru Flu Clinic, flu shots will still be available on Mondays and Wednesdays through Oct. 28 — excluding Labor Day, Sept. 7, and Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 12. Shots are available from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Township office, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park, and the following churches, according to the release: Sunday Sept. 20, 8 a.m. to NoonSt. Francis of Assisi Church, 15050 Wolf Rd., Orland Park Sunday, Sept. 27, 8 a.m. to NoonSt. Stephen Deacon & Martyr Church, 17500 84th Ave., Tinley Park The village said that church clinics will only accept cash payments.
