This is a free event. Appetizers and refreshments will be provided during the presentation. No childcare is available. Have you ever wondered what life is like for someone who is blind or visually impaired? Foundation for Blind Children in Central Phoenix extends an invite for you to come learn about the wonderful career of working with students who are blind or visually impaired. You will learn about the unique role of the Teacher of Students with Vision Impairments, and how they get to use the world as their classroom! We will have a presentation about this wonderful career, an overview of the bachelor's program at Arizona State University (ASU), and activities to learn more of what this career would be like. We will also provide refreshments and snacks. We look forward to having you on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Please register for the event if you plan to attend. Update: On April 2nd, our organization will be hosting a fundraiser on campus at the same time of this event, and we invite our attendees to enjoy it. There will be food trucks, music, activities, and a beer garden. The event also starts at 10:00 AM and the first 250 people to show up get free food. We invite you to arrive early to get food, and then join us indoors for our presentation at 10:15 AM. We will conclude our presentation with welcoming our guests back out to the fundraiser event to enjoy it. You do not need to re-register if you already registered for our session on April 2nd.
